yeah paper beats rock never really makes sense, I mean scissors get fucked by rock, sure, and scissors slice up the paper, fine, but paper covers rock? Structural integrity of the rock is still intact.

It should be rock, scissors and dynamite with a cuttable wick.

no. RPS has been a recurring theme with them, I think. Back when AP was still publishing their "Duel" series (single comics fights between famous airplanes and tanks mostly) Chris and I proposed drawing a monkeybugs RPS episode for Duel. I think it had a similar outcome with Rock beating all. Actually, I remember the setup. Each of the competitors (rock, paper and scissors) would get an UFC style introduction. I forgot them all except for "Paper, the beast from the east". Then, it would cut to the three of them, each with their selected implement, in a sort of mexican standoff style showdown. Inkmo, with his trusty rock, would jump whoever had scissors, bashing them across the skull repeatedly. Then, the other (probably meeko; I think jackmo died first) would be like "ah ha! an opening" and try to move in with paper. Then inkmo, with his trusty rock, would jump them, bashing them across the skull repeatedly. Then, inkmo would grow old and die alone. And eventually, the rock would fade away due to erosion.
