A lot of his albums are just filler though, seemingly released just to notch up his release count one more. But the ones that are good are some of the best noise for sure...if you can believe such a thing as quality noise. And I think he's done more than 300, too which is crazy.

I also like the idea of many people who have no idea who Merzbow is youtubing who he is and then reaching for the volume control with a frantic urgency before the neighbors shoot them.

track seven on Rainbow Electronics II, some of the stuff in Prosperity of Vice, Misfortune of Virtue, which he did under his real name and not as Merzbow. I can't remember which tracks there, because they're all untitled. Venereology is generally all good. I got Pulse Demon recently but haven't listened to it much because the Prurient and Boris albums I got at the same time are getting more play. From what I've heard, Pulse Demon is among his best, though. Also, everything he's done with Boris. I have Rock Dream and Sun Baked Snow Cave. They're both great!
